Do you suffer from chronic fatigue and you don’t know why?
The CFS (Chronic Fatigue Syndrome) is a disease with symptoms that are very hard to recognise: headache, weakness, lack of energy, listlessness. Similar symptoms are found in the OTS (Over Training Syndrome). In both cases the body has made an excessive effort to win a competition or to face difficult situations.

The most recent definition of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome is as follows:
Chronic fatigue persisting for at least 6 months in which a person is not able to perform the same activities he was used to.
Moreover, the following symptoms occur: substantial impairment in short term memory or concentration, pharyngitis, muscular and multi-joint pain without swelling or redness, tender lymph nodes, unrefreshing sleep, excessive post-exertional pain last more than 24 hours.
 

 

The real cause for this syndrome is still unknown, even though one of the most probable reasons is a deficiency in the immune system after an infection or a chemical or food intoxication.

Usually it affects young people or women between 35 and 40 years of age. CFS can last many years or in other cases it can get better spontaneously or thanks to a specific medical treatment. Generally old people or children are not affected by it.
 

 


What can we do to prevent from these syndromes?
It is very important to take some time to relax and try to do any activity that might help strengthen your immune system. The best way to prevent from these syndromes is to let your body recuperate in the proper way.
